Principal's Desk Message

At the outset, I warmly welcome you to a beautiful campus of Prof. Dr. N.D. Patil Mahavidyalaya, Malkapur, situated in the hills of Western Ghat. The college provides higher education to socio-economically backward students of hilly and remote region of Shahuwadi taluka (Kolhapur, Maharashtra). We believe in what William Burroughs says ‘The aim of education is the knowledge, not of facts, but of values’. Keeping this view in mind, we nourish intelligence and talent and cultivate human values and skills in our students. Our teaching staff is committed to build character of our students through curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

The college offers different U.G. and P.G. courses along with other short term courses. It has been promoting sports and arts culture by organizing various sports and cultural activities. In order to form the character of our students, it has an N.S.S. unit of 100 students and N.C.C. unit of 54 students that provides them to participate in outreach programmes. A special labour camp organized in nearby community trains our students in terms of hygiene, health and respect for manual labour. It turns them into a more compassionate and confident person. Annual magazine Krantideep offers a platform to our students for creative expression. Significantly, results of our students have been excellent and many of our alumni have made their careers in diverse fields. Today, our college is reckoned as a nucleus of knowledge in the outskirts of Malkapur.

All in all, we prepare our students to take up challenges of their future life.
