About the Department of  Physical Education & Sports

The department of physical education has been established in 1992. It has been promoting sports culture in our college. It conducts various sports events such as ‘Mini Marathon’ on the eve of the birth anniversary of  Karmaveer Bhaurao Patil, ‘Annual Sports Week’, celebration of ‘Sports Day’ on the birth anniversary of Late Major Dhyanchand. In addition to this, the gymkhana also grooms the students for participating in various university level zonal and interzonal sports events. Gymkhana provides all necessary facilities for outdoor as well as indoor games, yoga and health activities that creates interest in sports and games among our students. The department has also availed a well equipped gymnasium hall in ladies hostel building for students, teachers and support staff. As a result, the department has produced many university state level players.

Besides, the department has made MoU with Rajaram Bapu Patil Talim Mandal, Koparde and Rudra Sambhaji Kabaddi Sangh Shahuwadi to conduct collaborative activities in regard of wrestling and Kabaddi respectively. Our students are given an opportunity to follow sports like Volleyball, Kabbadi, Kho-Kho, Shot-put, Discuss Throw, Javelin Throw, Hammer Throw, Long Jump etc. The department has created
