About the Department of Commerce:
Prof. Dr. N. D. Patil Mahavidyalaya, Malkapur is situated in the hilly and remote region of Kolhapur district. Considering the requirement of this locality and to create employable human resource, the department of Commerce was established in the year 1992. The department of commerce is committed to impart skill based education to fulfill the needs of the students. The department has one full-time teacher and a C.H.B. teacher. Today, the total enrolment in department is 336 students. The department organizes the various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities in order to have holistic development of our students. Also the department conducts three skill-based short-term courses viz. Jewelry Designing, Bags-Making and Tailoring. The department is dedicated to promote and foster a culture of high quality teaching, learning & promoting excellence research.
